Spring Card

Used this card for Mother's Day, my Mom loved it.  We always get her flowers for her porch and they last nicely through the Summer.  But this year I decided to make her something that she would be able to keep (I also gave her a nice hanging basket of flowers).  I made her a card that has a crocheted Daffodil pin on the front.  I crocheted the flower using DMC floss in two shades of yellow.  After I crocheted I used starch to give it a nice stiffness.  I attached a pin to the back of the flower then added it to a card I made using cardstock, ribbon, tissue paper and a vellum printed insert.  Please email me if you are interested in the pattern.  I have linked this up on  My Merry Messy Life Blog, take a look at all the great things on the site.

My "Hookin on Hump Day" Submission

I am linking to a great Fiber Arts Link Party held by a former member of my local MOPS group. 

Love this little flower.  It take about 10 minutes and is really easy.  I made this for my daughter who is in the National Guard and was away for6 months.  I actually finished it by spraying with my signature perfume sealing it in a sandwich bag and then sent to her with a note that said open for an instant hug.   I also added little tag that I made.  She loved it.
